4 Ways To Write Blog Content Faster Than Your Competitors

When it comes to writing good quality blog posts, and especially content that converts traffic into buyers and affiliate commissions, it can be extremely challenging for 45% of marketers to accomplish.

But why is it that some people are absolute superstars at blogging and can write with their eyes shut, while other bloggers find it tough to produce high-quality content and constantly hit brick walls?

4 Ways To Write Blog Content Faster Than Your Competitors

The answer is a very simple one. To become a writing legend, it all boils down to “practice”, and lots of it. Practice always makes Progress, and that also applies to any aspect of Internet Marketing.

I remember when I first started out online many moons ago, I couldn’t write a half-decent blog post for the life of me. I struggled like hell and basically sucked as a newbie! LOL.

But then I found the Wealthy Affiliate community, followed the step-by-step training for building an online business as a blogger, and now I can churn out great content like a well-oiled machine.

But this isn’t about me, it’s about YOU, my friend!

Now, before you know whether the contents of this article is for you, please ask yourself 3 simple questions:

  • How much content have you published on your blog in the past 30 days?
  • How many visitors, sales, and commissions have you generated from your articles?
  • Are you happy with your results?

If your answers are “none” or “hardly any“, and “NO” – then continue reading for 4 unorthodox ways to create content mega fast that’s also 10x better than your competitors.

#1: Narrate – Then Write

First, you wanna have a go at narrating and then turn it into written content on your blog.

We are all different, but most folks can talk at least 3 to 4 times faster than they can type on a computer keyboard.

In addition to the speed difference, consider how often you pause during writing because of thinking about what to write next and how to word it properly, etc.

So when you’re speaking, there are no delays because your words are free-flowing as if you’re having a conversation with somebody.

Speak general thoughts about your topic on any recording device such as a smartphone or using an app like Google Docs. It’s an awesome one to use, and it’s free!

Then simply hit the playback button, and write your blog post.

#2: Eliminate Writer’s Block

There’s nothing worse than staring at a blank screen for ages because you’re stuck for ideas and words to type. It’s a huge waste of time that affects everybody and delays success.

Now, the main cause of writer’s block is that you’re thinking too far ahead. You’re trying to figure out what to write next and whether it’s even gonna make sense to your website visitors.

Unfortunately, it leads to you becoming overwhelmed due to so much happening inside your head all at once.

So to eliminate good old writer’s block, you need to approach blogging from the opposite angle.

Instead of concerning yourself with knowing what to write in the present moment, you should ask yourself: “What’s the point of this blog article?

When you know the answer, then work backward – creating an outline (consisting of headings or bullet points) of your main topics to be discussed within the article.

It will take 5 to 10 minutes to create a framework but will save you heaps of time with your content.

#3: Take a Break (LOL)

Yeah, I know it’s an obvious one! 😛

But take a short coffee break every 30 to 60 minutes if you really wanna get ahead of your competition because short intervals will make you more counter-productive when it comes to writing content.

I’ve personally found that taking a short break here n’ there helps to energize both mind and body, and keeps me focused on blogging.

Studies have actually shown that taking time out for just a few minutes can improve your productivity by over 10%.

So go on… get the kettle on and put ya feet up for a few moments.

However, if you have no clue on how to start off on the right foot with building your online biz, then I highly recommend using the “Pomodoro Technique”.

It’s a 5-step process:

  1. Set a timer for 25 minutes
  2. Stop typing when the timer finishes
  3. Take a 5-minute break
  4. Repeat the 3 steps 4 times
  5. After the 4th time, take a 30-minute break

It’s an awesome strategy for staying focused and fresh throughout writing.

But just remember to save your drafts before taking breaks because I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve forgotten to save my own drafts and lost content as a result of power cuts, internet downtime, and other technical mishaps.

GRRR! LOL.

#4: Write First – Edit Later

There are many distractions when you’re writing, and then there’s the case of figuring out what to discuss and how to structure your content in the best way, and so on.

Now whether it’s clear to you or not, what you’re basically doing is “multi-tasking”. Being a circus juggler is a totally inefficient way because switching from one thing to another creates minutes and sometimes hours of wasted time.

So, what you need to do is write down the very first thoughts that pop into your head when thinking about your topic.

Once your thoughts have finished flowing from your head and on to your blog post draft, then you can edit and revise the post – turning it into a golden masterpiece for your readers to enjoy.

And there you have it – 4 simple ways for beating your competition at writing blog content.

Wrapping it up…

By using some or all of the 4 methods outlined above for creating awesome content quickly, you will certainly get off to a great start with your blogging and have the edge over your competition in no time at all.

I just hope those affiliates and bloggers love the taste of dust! 😉

Once you get to grips with blogging, you will realize just how easy and also fun it can be, not to mention that you can build a really successful web-based business if you do it right.
