Welcome to my Commission Cartel review!
When I came across this, my first thoughts were:
“WOW, are Mexican and Colombian drug lords now in the Affiliate Marketing game?!” LOL.
But on a serious note, is Mr. Cheney’s program full of hype?
Or a legit opportunity offering you the real chance to generate five hundred dollars within the next month and a monthly income thereafter?
Dive into THIS truthful review to find out!…
Quick Overview
Name: Commission Cartel (CC).
Website: commissioncartel.com.
Cost: $9.95 + additional expenses.
Owner: Michael Cheney.
My Score: 3/10.
Summary:
Michael Cheney leads you to believe that raking in $500 in the next 30 days as a total affiliate marketing newbie is easily doable.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth because numerous moving parts come into the equation.
For example, are you a quick learner or a “slow and steady wins the race” kinda guy or gal?
Are you a sofa slob or do you have an incredible work ethic and drive, and willing to invest heaps of time into your Biz?
Are you prepared to invest money in the tools of the trade and traffic generation strategies? And if so, how much?
These factors (+ others I’ve not mentioned) will determine your level of success.
So Cheney simply can not make such bold claims UNLESS he has a crystal ball and knows something that we don’t.
But anyway…
As for Commission Cartle itself, it also falls short, I’m afraid.
Because although Cheney offers you guidance on getting up and running as an affiliate marketer using the sales funnel approach…
The training just isn’t deep enough for you to actually succeed as a noob, in my book.
I think to increase your chances of success with CC. you’ll need to buy the upsells – which is always the case with these cheap-ass products.

What is Commission Cartel All About?
Commission Cartel is a training course claiming that newbies who join the program can easily make at least $500 within 30 days!
Heck, Michael also claims that some folks generate that amount in only 48 hours or 7 days!
Apparently, you can make a whopping 500 bucks and much more online:
Without building a website, without having a list of email subscribers, no ads to run, and no SEO to implement.
The idea certainly seems a little “too good to be true” – wouldn’t you agree?
So if you’re building a successful business with NO website, SEO strategies, list or ads, then what the hell will it actually entail?

What Training do You Get Inside Commission Cartel?
Once you pay $10 to enter the program, the core training is available in video, PDF document, and also MP3 formats, and covers:
- Finding your target niche market
- Narrowing down your audience
- Finding an Affiliate product to market
- Creating a sales funnel
- Driving web traffic to your funnel
- Earning Affiliate commissions
Unfortunately, Michael doesn’t exactly walk you through getting an online business started.
Or even the concrete steps required for building a profitable biz.
He generally discusses the topics, leaving the rest of the guess work to you.
Which pretty much reminds me of Affiliate Cash Empire – a platform with vague training.
From a newbie perspective, if you don’t receive any real step-by-step training and a shoulder to look over…
You’re never gonna build a successful business. Period.
But what I mostly hate is that Michael also encourages you to implement some shady marketing techniques that can get you banned on certain platforms.
For example – the posting of raw affiliate links on Facebook.
It’s classed as spam, and you can land yourself in FB jail, especially if folks report you.
In a way, some training comes across as outdated 90s sort of stuff taught at Rory Ricord and Padlock Income, to name a couple of examples.
And if you need support, Michael also provides you with an email address to contact.
But unluckily, there’s no community for hanging out with other members and picking brains.
How Much Does Commission Cartel Cost?
To get started at the basic level of ‘CC’ is only $9.95.
There are also 2 optional upsells to splash out on:
Upsell #1: The Godfather Package – $27
You are given access to “Done For You” commission creating campaigns. You’ll also receive promotional materials, discount coupons, and VIP access.
Upsell #2: The Secret Weapons Package – $47
You’ll get ready to use promo templates for making money, and also some additional bonuses.
In my opinion, you will be required to purchase the One-Time-Offers if you want any success with Michael’s system.
PROS vs CONS
PROS
- The joining fee is only $10 to get started
- Training & support is provided
- The potential to make some money (if you buy the upsells)
CONS
- Michael uses hype on the sales page
- There’s no real step-by-step training
- Some unethical marketing strategies are involved
- You must splash out on the upsells for real success
- It’s an unsuitable platform for beginners
- No refunds are given
Final Thoughts: Is Commission Cartel a Scam?…
Commission Cartel is a LEGIT training platform.
But unfortunately, I didn’t find the basic training up to par.
If you’re a newbie, I think you’re gonna find the training difficult to implement.
In my opinion, there’s no way a noob can earn $500 in just 30 days with the system.
Because the concept internet marketing isn’t a quick and easy process to learn, no matter what route you choose.
So as for the ‘CC’ sales page, it’s definitely one that leads you down the garden path with that word called “HYPE”.
What I also find misleading is that Michael shows his own big affiliate commission snapshots…
Giving you the totally wrong impression when it comes to making money on the web as a noob.
Michael Cheney’s Affiliate Commissions
To generate his kinda income, you need to become an experienced internet marketer, which is something he fails to mention.
If you wanna build a successful business with ‘CC’, you will need to purchase Mr. Cheney’s One-Time-Offers.
Because his basic training’s just too vague, in my book.
My Final Verdict: Not recommended for a beginner.
Want a Much Better Money-Making Option?…
Thankfully, there are numerous programs that teach you HOW to create a successful affiliate marketing Biz from scratch.
But unfortunately, Commission Cartel isn’t one of them, in my opinion.
The strtaegy I use for generating an income through affiliate marketing is called “blogging”.
Blogging isn’t just one of the cheapest ways of making money as an affiliate marketer…
But it’s a truly awesome way of building a business around a topic that you’re passionate about and actually HELPING people.
This is what building an online empire is really about – not just making $500 in the next 30 days for the sake of it.
So if you want websites, tools, step-by-step training & 24/7 support for building a lucrative blog from the ground up…

Your Friend, Neil 😀
Do you have any questions or thoughts, that you’d like to share on ‘CC’? We’d LOVE to hear your thoughts below…
Thank You for your sincere review of Commission Cartel and comparison with Wealthy Affiliate.
It shows us how WA is a powerful and meaningful site and community for learning online money earning skills.
Now I know that CC is so lame and because of your detailed review, you actually saved me money.
Best regards,
Dan Coly
No worries, Dan!
When you compare the two programs side-by-side, it sure is transparent to see that WA provides so much more value. 🙂
Unfortunately, beginners will struggle with CC’s basic training. So it’s not worth the investment, in my opinion.
Cheers!
Neil
Commission Cartel – don’t they think up some names? The cons far outweigh their pros here and placing this company against the likes of Wealthy Affiliate just shows how legitimacy speaks volumes.
There is no way you can make this predicted amount with affiliate marketing in such a short space of time, a year maybe rather 2 years is my plan. It takes time to learn the process and even longer to accomplish high rankings through the Search Engines so this is false information for a start.
You are right regarding affiliate links and Social Media. I’m not sure too much regarding Facebook but I have noticed Pinterest has had a real crackdown. There’s still a few there, probably hiding through some masking program but the user experience is so much better rather than being dominated by scams.
How long have you been with WA?
Thanks for the info,
Simon.
They sure do, Simon! CC is an attention-grabbing name, so it’s definitely gonna receive some interest but also from the wrong type of people wanting to make a lot of money quickly.
WA is certainly out of CC’s league. Period. An affiliate could potentially generate a big sum of money in only 30 days (if they pour money into paid advertising for their sales funnel). But even then, placing effective paid ads also requires a certain level of training, and money could be lost through trial and error.
When it comes to SEO, in my experience, there’s the potential to generate $500 in affiliate commissions within 6 months of blogging.
There are a few social media platforms that still allow affiliate links. But for how long, nobody knows! The internet is all about providing “value” these days, so there’s no longer a place for raw affiliate links, in my opinion.
I’ve been with WA since 2013 and I’ve loved every moment of being a member/building my online biz. I highly recommend WA as the best platform for newbies who wanna do affiliate marketing properly.
You’re welcome, Simon!
Anyone that promises that amount of money in a short time is not worth trusting. Period! Many Thanks for this Commission Cartel review, Neil.
I think the number two give away is the no-refund policy. That tells a lot whether the owner trusts his program can really help people out or he’s just out to make some bucks.
I’m with you on that one, Issac!
“Trust” is an important word when it comes to building an online business because without it in place, people are gonna fail to succeed and also get sucked in by scams + low-quality programs.
You’re welcome, man!
Having no refund policy in place is just ridiculous. Maybe Michael is in business for himself. Who knows.
Thanks for taking the time to write this great review. I have heard of Commission Cartel program before but I never knew of anyone who had joined the training program.
It was helpful to compare CC to Wealthy Affiliate. I’m glad you pointed out the unethical selling practices because seriously there are plenty of ways to make money online without compromising your morals.
It’s a pleasure, Wenda! 😀
I guess there are some folks who have joined CC, but it’s not gonna be popular with every noob.
I’m happy that you found some value in the comparison table. It’s certainly obvious that WA is the best option!
These days it’s a lot easier for some experienced marketers to throw sales pages full of hype together rather than create high-quality training that works.
Some of them might actually learn that it’s all about providing REAL “value” one day!
