So does the tool in question actually do a good job at pinpointing the terms you need for top rankings in the major search engines?

Or is it just another “average Joe” tool with shoddy metrics?

What is Keywords Everywhere All About?

Keywords Everywhere is a browser extension designed for both Chrome and Firefox users to find long-tail keyword phrases from the following sites and tools:

• Google Search, Trends, Keyword Planner, Search Console & Analytics
• eBay
• Answer The Public
• Bing
• Etsy
• Soovle
• YouTube
• Ubersuggest
• Majestic
• Amazon
• Keyword Shitter
• MOZ Open Site Explorer
  

Once installed, ‘KE’ pulls up Search Volume, Cost Per Click, and also Competition metrics for keywords from various resources to locate those “golden goose egg” phrases.

But is this data really enough for 1st-page search index rankings, that’s the question?

Hmm… I guess we’ll see!

 

OK, Let’s See This Keywords Everywhere Baby in Action!

First of all, you install ‘KE’ on the browser you’re using. In my case, it’s Firefox.

It literally takes seconds to install! And then you simply enter your email address for the free API key to activate the extension.

Next, head over to your favourite site and type a keyword phrase into the search bar.

For example, I’ve used YouTube and typed in “how to do SEO“.
 

 
Then right off the bat, it shows you the data for that search term and other longer-tail terms relating to that seed keyword.

So it gives you a pretty good idea of where keywords stand – traffic, cost, and competition-wise.

In addition, ‘KE’ gives you some settings and features to play around with for more in-depth insights into your keyword ideas.
 

 

#1: Update Settings

Here, you can select various options for Country, Currency, Metrics, and Website Extensions.
 

 
I also like the fact that you even have the option of highlighting the data so it stands out easier.

And also gives you a bunch of other settings for your personal preference.

 

#2: Bulk Upload Keywords

The bulk uploader is a great feature.

Because it allows you to enter multiple keywords and then see them listed in one place with the metrics too.
 

 
In my opinion, it’s a really efficient and easy way of grouping the data together.

Plus it saves a bunch of time as well. BONUS!

 

#3: My Favorite Keywords

This one’s self-explanatory. 😛

Just like Bookmarked sites, it’s a simple list of all the keywords (along with metrics) that you’ve checked the star symbols next to.

This feature also allows you to copy your keywords, transfer them to Excel, CSV, and PDF formats, as well as print off if you choose.

 

#4: Analyze This Page

Personally, I think this feature is awesome!

You can analyze the keyword data for any website page you choose (from the list of sites the tool covers) and it quickly pulls up keywords along with data.

For example, I typed “how to do SEO” into Google, and the tool pulled up all the data from the first page results.
 

 
This time, it doesn’t just display the usual metrics.

But also shows where the keywords are found (Text, Heading 2, 3, 4), the density, and also the occurrences.

Overall, I think ‘KE’ gives you great insights into keywords.

When it comes to support, you do get an email address to contact if you have any queries or issues with the tool.

 

What’s The Cost of Keywords Everywhere: Is it Really “Free”?

To install ‘KE’ won’t cost you a single penny. It’s 100% Free.

But there is a slight catch which I think is the reason why it’s free lol.

In order to receive an API key for using the extension, you must tick a box to agree to subscribe to a newsletter which I guess is no biggie for some marketers.

 

PROS vs CONS

PROS

• It’s not gonna cost a dime
• Quick to install & fast at producing results
• Offers some great time-saving features
• The potential to find keywords for rankings
• Support is available

CONS

• There’s no keyword research function
• It’s lacking a couple of important SEO ranking metrics, which this tool here provides
  
• Too vague on the “Competition” metric – doesn’t explain the best keyword scores to aim for

 

Final Take: Is Keywords Everywhere Worth it?…

Overall, I had a great time using the Keywords Everywhere extension.

I’m really impressed by the speed at which it produces the data.

Although ‘KE’ doesn’t have an actual keyword function…

It can help you dig up TONS of ideas from numerous well-known sites/tools for publishing blog content and potentially getting it ranked in the search engines for traffic.

Also, if you don’t have much of a budget to work with, then the extension can be an ideal starting point for your research.

Especially when combined with the free ATP tool.

However, if you do have a bunch of dollars going spare, I highly recommend a more advanced SEO/keyword research platform for all the essential metrics…

As well as a feature for checking website rankings in the search engines which is a must-have tool!
