Blog Ninja Scam Review

Quick Overview

Name: Blog Ninja (BN).

Website: shoemoney.net.

Cost: Free + additional expenses.

Owner: Jeremy Schoemaker (aka “Shoemoney”).

My Score: 5/10.

Verdict: Legit

Summary:

Put simply, Blog Ninja is supposed to offer easy step-by-step video lessons on building a blog from scratch for earning an income on the web.

However, there are crucial blog training elements missing.

For example; there’s no help on finding a niche or even the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) side of things.

These aspects aren’t just important for getting you up and running with an onlien Biz with aclear path and purpose.

But without knowing how to properly optimize your content and choose the right keywords beforehand, you won’t get any rankings.

Furthermore, I’m not too happy at the fact that there’s no community of bloggers for support either inside ‘BN’.

2017 UPDATE: There are reports of numerous members unable to make it past the “Yellow Belt” stage of the course and the support team isn’t responding to tickets.

Some are now calling it a scam.

2018 UPDATE: Shoemoney’s system has vanished into thin air.

2020 UPDATE: Nope, still can’t find it! LOL.

Firstly, Who is Shoemoney?

Since 2005, Jeremy Schoemaker “Shoemoney” has made tens of thousands of dollars in affiliate commissions…

With Google Adsense through his cell phone ringtone website ‘NextPimp.com’ (which was sold in 2011).

Jeremy Schoemaker Also Known As Shoemoney

Say Hello to Jeremy.

Up to this point in time, in total, he’s generated more than 10 million dollars on the internet using various other methods.

If you also visit Mr. Schoemaker’s blog ‘shoemoney.com‘…

He shares with you his story and also the income streams he’s leveraged for making so much money on the web over the years.

What is Blog Ninja All About?

Blog Ninja is designed as a free internet marketing training course for affiliate marketing newbies.

Where Jeremy shows you how to build your own blog, publish content, and monetize it.

The training is presented to you in bite-sized step-by-step videos, walking you through the necessary skills for building a successful online business.

But despite Jeremy’s awesome reputation as a marketer, is his video series really “free” or is there some kinda catch?

You’ll find out soon enough…

What Kinda Training do You Get Inside Blog Ninja?

The best thing I love about the training is that Jeremy guides you from White Belt – Black Belt…

Blog Ninja Video Training

With a series of great walk-through videos covering different aspects of building out your blog and making money.

The ninja training belts at a quick glance:

  • White Belt – Introduction to the system
  • Yellow Belt – Buy web hosting & learn how to set up your blog
  • Orange Belt – Choose a theme & customize your website
  • Blue Belt – Learn how to publish posts/pages & install plugins + widgets
  • Red Belt – Introduction to Aweber, building a newsletter & creating a form
  • Purple Belt – Learn about Facebook & Twitter strategies
  • Green Belt – Tie it all together with email, Aweber & social icons on your site
  • Brown Belt – Monetize your site with Affiliate Marketing via Adsense & Amazon
  • Black Belt – Facebook post & special ninja promotion

HOWEVER, there are some serious downsides to the program…

Firstly, there’s ZERO training on choosing a “niche”.

This is a highly important step that you must do before even buying a domain name, hosting, and setting up a blog.

Unfortunately, if you don’t pick a hobby or passion to build a website around…

You’re gonna be unsuccessful at creating an online business because you have no direction.

Secondly, there’s also ZERO training on using a keyword research tool for finding the right keywords for rankings in Google, Bing, and Yahoo.

Without the practice of SEO (which is the best method for driving traffic)…

You’re gonna be missing out on TONS of free traffic from the search engines, which in turn will result in income left on the table.

Thirdly, I discovered that you can’t move on to the next step until you’ve completed the current step.

Which I guess is great for preventing some folks from taking shortcuts.

But if you’re stuck at a certain stage and decide to email the support desk, you can’t make any progress until you receive help.

You could wait for hours or even days to be rescued.

Is Blog Ninja Really $0, What’s The Catch?

The training is actually free.

But there are some extra fees with Jeremy’s system if you decide to take him up on his offer.

On the bright side, it’s not gonna cost you a fortune.

Once you reach the end of your “White Belt” training, he gives you the opportunity to purchase his packages.

These consist of web hosting, site backups, premium plugins, and your own domain name at various costs:

  • 1 year for $12.95/month
  • 2 years for $7.97/month
  • 3 years for $4.97/month

In addition, you will need to sign up for an autoresponder account with Aweber.com – starting at $19/month.

So you can create an email opt-in form for your blog and building a list of subscribers.

I think that’s about it really, unless you choose to drive paid traffic to your blog as well.

In which case, it will cost you $100s. But that’s beyond the scope of this review.

PROS vs CONS of Blog Ninja

PROS

  • The training course is free
  • Step-by-step tutorial videos are easy to follow
  • Reasonably priced web hosting packages
  • Technical support is provided
  • The platform is easy to navigate
  • You can potentially make money online

CONS

  • There’s no community of marketers for support
  • No niche selection training – (Choosing a niche should be your first priority)
  • Nothing on keyword research or SEO – (They are important strategies for success)
  • Some members have complained about limited access & lack of support

Closing Thoughts: Is Blog Ninja a Scam?…

I must confess, when I first came across Blog Ninja, I was highly skeptical.

Because usually when you find “100% free” training courses, you can guarantee there will be expensive upselling involved.

Or at least some resources that you’ll need to purchase just like inside Affiliate Outrage, that I reviewed a while back.

But with Mr. Shoemoney’s free system, his paid packages are fairly reasonable, in my opinion.

However, my only real concerns with ‘BN’ are the fact that it’s lacking essential training on ‘selecting a niche’ and ‘SEO/keyword research’…

There’s no community forum for live support, and some videos could also do with a little more depth for beginners.

The Bottom Line: ‘BN’ is a LEGIT platform that can be a good place for beginners to learn the ropes of blogging.

And also a few other marketing concepts for making money via affiliate marketing, in my opinion.

BUT…

Here’s a Far Better Alternative to ‘BN’…

The thing about ‘BN’ is that it falls short in some key areas of blogging and affiliate marketing.

Which is why I don’t think you’ll be a long term successful business with the platform, in all honesty.

It’s just a good place to start and nothing more.

BUT if you’d like websites, tools, step-by-step training & support 24/7 from a big community of bloggers…

Basically, everything under one roof for bulding a lucrative online Biz from scratch…
