A huge welcome to my review of Swagbucks!
You may have a few questions when it comes to task-based opportunity:
Is it really worth it, is it the best LEGIT ‘Get Paid To’ program on the planet or just another lousy SCAM, etc?
I’ll be answering your questions within this review, so hang tight!…
Quick Overview:
Name: Swagbucks.
Website: Swagbucks.com.
Price: Free. (Click Here to Become a Member).

My Score: 7/10.
Summary:
If you’re looking for a fun way to turn your spare time into some pocket money every month, then Swagbucks is the one for you.
Because there are many tasks you can participate in to be rewarded with cold hard cash or gift cards.
And as with any ‘Get-Paid-To’ opportunity, there’s even the chance to earn extra rewards from referring family and friends too.
But I’m not giving too much away because the ins and outs are highlighted in this review.
But before getting the lowdown…

What’s Swagbucks All About, Huh?
With the Swagbucks platform, you’re rewarded with points (aka “SB”) that you can redeem for:
Gift cards, PayPal cash, prepaid Visa cards, coupons, and even Swagstakes entries to win big prizes.
Each time you search the web, fill out surveys, shop in the ‘SB’ mall, vote in daily polls, play games, watch videos, complete special offers, find codes and refer family/friends…
You earn special ‘SB’.
It’s just your typical ‘GPT’ site, but what makes this one so special, huh?

Who is Gonna Benefit From Using Swagbucks?
If you have spare time to kill every day, enjoy participating in fun activities on the internet and wanna reap some rewards from doing so…
Then ‘SB’ could be the type of opportunity you’re after.
Simply put, it’s for ANYONE and EVERYONE wanting to make a quick and easy buck from simple tasks.
However, this program isn’t for folks wanting to “get-rich-quick” because it’s designed for earning a little “fun money”.
BUT having said that, if you learn internet marketing skills, then the opportunity could potentially become an awesome money-maker!
I’ll tell you just HOW very shortly.
Let’s Dive into The Swagbucks Money-Making Tasks
Before I show you the various main ways to earn with the program – first I would like to put the earnings into perspective:
100 ‘SB’ = $1, which is nothing to shout home about, in my opinion.
But the best part about your rewards is that you only need to meet a minimum threshold of 500 ‘SB’ for a $5 gift card or PayPal cash payment of $5.
However, you can also work towards much bigger rewards if you prefer not to cash out 5 bucks.
See the ways to accumulate dollars…
Shop + Get Cash Back
By spending online at your favourite stores, you’ll get rewarded with different ‘SB’ amounts and cashback percentages.
The only problem is that the rewards really aren’t that high with many shops.
And you’ll more than likely need to spend a fortune to accumulate decent cash amounts.
Search The Web
By using ‘SB’s’ very own search bar and also making it your default search engine, you’ll earn from your searches.
The great thing about this feature is that you’ll make some money from doing what you normally do on a daily basis.
Watch Videos
The good news is that the videos are fairly short to watch.
The bad news is that you’ll need to watch a bunch of them in one go for minimal ‘SB’ rewards.
Play Games
Who wouldn’t wanna get rewarded for having FUN, hey?
The only problem is that the games are extremely limited to just 3.
And you must also disable ad blocking software to qualify for earnings which is the catch.
Answer Surveys
There are a number of Gold and Peanut Lab surveys to take as well as taking part in the daily poll and doing job tasks.
The time it takes to do the surveys varies, and you receive the most ‘SB’ for the longer ones.
Taking surveys is definitely one of my least favourite tasks because they can be so mundane lol.
Also, I’ve found with most ‘GPT’ site surveys is that you can sometimes get screened out and the numbers are limited.
Discover Deals
You can earn a mixture of rewards by doing free and paid offers.
But to get the decent rewards, you’re gonna have to spend money first.
Refer & Earn – The BEST Way to Make Money!
In my experience with ‘GPT’ programs, the absolute best way to earn is by referring others who wanna make some money in their spare time.
Basically, it runs along the same lines as affiliate marketing…
When you refer folks to ‘SB’, you’ll get a bonus of 500 ‘SB’ PLUS you get 10% of what they generate.
Yeah, you may make a few bucks by referring family and friends.
BUT if you wanna go for gold and ramp up your earnings…
Then build a free website and get the training, tools + support for getting ‘SB’ in front of thousands of eyeballs…

PROS vs CONS of Swagbucks
PROS
- It doesn’t cost a penny to join
- Get some free ‘SB’ for signing up
- Numerous ways to earn rewards
- Earn on the go with a mobile APP
- Get good rewards for referring others
- Help & support is available
CONS
- It takes a lot of time and effort to qualify for decent rewards
- A number of tasks can be limited
- Some tasks don’t reward you with much
- For the biggest rewards, you’ll need to spend money on shopping & paid offers
- You’ll never earn a full-time income UNLESS you learn how to refer TONS of members via your referral link
Final Thoughts: Is Swagbucks Worth it?…
So then, to answer your questions:
YES, Swagbucks is a completely LEGIT ‘GPT’ program that pays you for your time.
I definitely give it a big thumb’s up!
In regard to whether it’s worth joining or not, I would say both YES and NO.
While ‘SB’ allows you to earn rewards from activities…
Many are minuscule which means it’s gonna be a slow process to build up rewards that are worth cashing out.
In addition, you’ll need to “spend” money for the bigger rewards.
You could very easily be out-of-pocket by unnecessarily forking out money too.
But on the other hand, if you refer folks to ‘SB’ by the boatload…
You have the opportunity to earn 10% of their earnings – which is the smartest and top way to make money with the program.
In my opinion, I consider ‘SB’ to be no different from any other rewards program I’ve tried.
But there certainly seems to be a lot of buzz around the site, so I guess it’s worth a shot.
Before you dash off though…
Wanna See a Kick-Ass Way to Make Money Online?…
Don’t get me wrong, Swagbucks is a great option if you’re just wanna turn your spare time into “fun money”.
But if you wanna go after the big fish in terms of a full-time income, then I highly recommend the concept of affiliate marketing.
Where you basically turn your passion into a successful Biz by promoting others’ products and receive a percentage off of any sales.
These are known as “commissions”, and the harder you work at helping more folks, the more your income increases each month.
It’s the exact same concept as the Swagbucks referral program – you refer new members and earn 10% of their earnings.

If you have any questions or thoughts to share on ‘SB’ – We’d LOVE to hear your comments below…
Hi Neil,
Swagbucks may not be a scam, but I consider most of the activities a waste of time. For someone who has time to kill, it could be good to earn a few dollars and have a bit of fun at the same time, but otherwise, you are working (or passing your time) for such small rewards it’s not worth it.
I often wonder what people imagine when they sign up to reward sites like Swagbucks. Do they think they will earn enough to replace their jobs or do they join just to earn a few dollars per month? Either way, a great review Neil, but I prefer to build a sustainable online business, where the potential rewards are greater.
Thanks,
Peter
Hey, Peter!
I suppose if you don’t already partake in specific daily online activities such as game playing and watching videos etc, then SB isn’t really the program for you! I do agree that performing simple tasks will never make anyone wealthy. For anyone to make serious dough with SB, they will need to build a website and learn how to use it to refer folks to SB.
I reckon there are some people who are under the false impression that SB will create financial freedom, and there are those who are in it for fun, so it’s a bit of both.
Thanks very much, and I’m also with you on building an online business for a real income because it sure is a game-changer!
Neil
Hi Neil,
Just checking out your review on Swagbucks and I agree that it is not a scam but at the same time not the best place to make a ton of money.
I like SB because you can use it to surf the web and get paid, and for that reason alone makes it a nice way to pick up some extra money. What I don’t like is that all the other tasks can distract people who want to make real money online and they end up wasting their time.
Awesome review and just wanted to put in my 2 cents.
Cheers,
Todd
Hey, Todd!
Sweet! Yeah, why not reap some rewards from taking part in some fun activities online that you would normally do anyway 😀 I know many people who spend time playing Facebook games during and after work, so SB would be a great opportunity for them.
But I know what you mean though because SB can encourage people to very easily procrastinate. However, I have learned to discipline myself by only focusing on the important online business building tasks that lead to success.
The only time I watch TV, play games online or surf the web is late at night as a reward for the hard work on my biz. That’s how it should be: WORK first. PLAYTIME second.
Thanks, dude!
Your 2 cents worth was very appreciated.
Neil
Another awesome review Neil, this time on whether the Swagbucks program is a scam.
This one doesn’t sound too bad in that it is at least free to join, although as you point out you can’t really make a full-time income out of it.
I have looked into similar programs such as this and you have to put in a lot of time and effort for very little reward.
If you want to get serious about earning money online the right way, you could join Wealthy Affiliate.
By following their training you will learn how to really build a successful online business the right way and for the long-term!
Great review!

Cheers, John!
Yeah, you can earn a few rewards by having a little fun with SB. When people do these kinds of daily activities online anyway, they really have nothing to lose. But it’s something that will never make people filthy rich online.
I would say this program is more for people who aren’t serious about building a business online, which is fine. But as you also say, for the ones who are more determined to make a real effort at generating a real income online, there is a much better path.
Thanks, man!
Neil
Hi, I’m a member of Swagbucks and am happy with the payouts and options available on the site to earn money. I know some people write bad comments about these sites but honestly, I’ve had no problems at all. Usually, accounts are discontinued when rules have been broken. These sites usually have very strict rules and something as simple as logging in somewhere other than home can land your account in trouble!! It’s best to read up on all the terms before joining any survey site. Sammi
Hey, Sammi!
It’s always great to receive feedback from other SB members. Good for you too! 😀 I’m glad you’re having a positive experience with the program so far, and I do see how easy it is to have an account closed down when somebody skips the rules and makes the smallest of mistakes.
Thanks for your advice. Neil
Swagbucks sounds like a good way for somebody with time on their hands to have some fun and get some stuff in return for it.
For myself, I do not have that type of time and I would prefer to earn a full income from the Internet if I’m to put in the time.
Your other offer is what I believe to be the best bet and worth my time doing Wealthy Affiliate.
SB certainly does, Travis!
I do agree with you, since this program can be quite time-consuming and offers small rewards for your efforts, but can be fun for the right people though.
You have made the right choice by deciding to put your time and effort to much better use through building an online business that can lead to financial freedom.
Sweet, glad to have you onboard WA! 🙂
Hey Neil,
Nice review!
I think these types of things can be recommended to people who claim they have so little time and yet they spend hours a day hanging out in all sorts of social networks.
A very true statement about having free time – what’s better than having fun with it AND earning a little cash? 🙂
Hey back, Dmitriy!
Cheers!
LOL – I actually agree with you because that describes some family, friends, and ex-work colleagues I know. So SB is the perfect program for them!!
There is something way better than earning a “little” cash, and that’s starting an online biz instead because there’s an even bigger opportunity to generate a full-time income through having FUN with your PASSION that can replace your day job. 😀
I have heard a lot about Swagbucks and I’ve actually tried to join in once, but it didn’t work out for me. I think it was not allowed in my country or something like that.
Anyway, it seems like a legit company that can help people earn a little bit of extra cash.
Sorry to hear that SB isn’t the right program for you, Rolandas!
Yeah, I think certain countries would be an issue with SB because I do know of many other online programs that disallow new members joining from specific countries.
People can earn some rewards from SB.
But they aren’t exactly “life-changing” ones (unless they learn how to build an army of referrals).
My sister is going hell for leather at all these kinds of things and I’m pretty sure Swagbucks is one of them. She’s always saying about the amount of money she gets just by going into these things when she would ordinarily just be sitting about not doing much and chilling.
You’re absolutely right though, it will never earn you a full-time income, but it does provide her with her e-cig funding for a week or 2!! 🙂 And it is legit. The reason I don’t do it is that I just don’t have the time… all I’d earn are pennies… Great honest informative review 🙂
LOL – That’s one way of putting it, and I’m sure your sister would be impressed with you! 😛
You will often find that when people have fun and earn some rewards from one program – they will join others too. So it’s a possibility that your sister may well be a member of SB, like you say! These programs can be very addictive, so I guess your sis has money and other rewards coming out of her ears lol.
Well, if the programs give your sister what she wants each week, then I guess she’s one happy bunny.
That’s the main downfall with SB because it’s just not enough to give you a sustainable income each month that can have a positive impact on your finances, like a real online business would.
Time is an issue for most people because there just aren’t enough hours in the day, and you would be far better off earning hundreds, if not thousands of dollars every month from an online program that would be worth your time and effort. 🙂
Thanks, Jill!
Hi Neil,
This sounds interesting, I don’t think it necessarily sounds like an option for me as I don’t have that much “spare time” to spend online.
I will however suggest this to a couple of friends and family who do spend a lot of time “playing about” online. Am I right in thinking that we get some form of reward for others who we refer to join Swagbucks?
Hey, Nate! 🙂
That’s perfectly fine, man! I guess SB isn’t to everyone’s taste, since there are much bigger and better options to make money online.
Yep, that is correct! When you refer new members to the SB, you will make 10% of whatever they earn themselves.
