In today’s world, blogging and sales funnels really are the two best options for building a profitable business, whether you wanna become a successful Internet and Affiliate Marketer or a traditional Biz owner, in general.
But I’m here to talk to you about the topic of funnels. YUP, Funnels!
And NO, I don’t mean mouth-watering funnel cakes! 😛
Exactly what is a sales funnel?
What’s the process of creating one that’s highly lucrative?
And more to the point, where the heck do you go to build one?
Those are the all-important questions that are about to get answered in two shakes of a lamb’s tail.
So hang tight, buddy!…
What The Heck is a Sales Funnel, You Ask?
Let’s face it, we’re now in an age where “websites” (static ones) are becoming stale for a number of reasons.
I don’t need to emphasize the fact that the internet is evolving at a rapid pace.
Nowadays, folks use their laptops and especially mobile devices more than ever before.
They need fast-loading and mobile responsive sites, they want apps, they love consuming content and engagement, they need easy navigation and simplicity, they need value, and they wanna buy stuff NOW!
So if your “traditional” site can’t meet your potential customers’ needs, then you’ll suffer big losses in terms of sales and profits.
Build a “sales funnel”, my friend!
A funnel is a process of using a simple squeeze page for capturing email leads, selling them your initial offer, and then enticing those folks with a series of your products (aka “upsells”) before they reach the checkout.
In a nutshell, you build a big-ass email list of potential “repeat” customers, your profits go BOOM, and those buyers get stacks of value in return.
It’s a WIN-WIN!
Ingenious, or what?

What Key Ingredients Go Into a Funnel?
Quite a few moving parts go into the creation of a sales funnel. But once you understand what they are and how they bring your funnel together, everything becomes crystal clear.
Funnel-creation is broken down into 3 parts:
#1: There are the elements. These are things like content blocks, media, and countdown timers, etc, that help to form your pages and provide functionality.
#2: There are the pages, like Opt-In, One-Time-Offer, and Thank You pages, etc. These depend on your intentions and the type of products you wanna sell.
#3: And then comes the funnel itself. You need to choose the type of funnel that relates to your business model, like lead, buyer, and event, etc.
In the free Funnel Hacker’s Cookbook, funnel-creation is described as like baking a cake because all the components you need are classed as the “ingredients” that form the magical “recipe”.
OK, so now you know the magical mixture, let’s quickly see how a funnel comes together, shall we?
How Do You Actually Build The Funnel?
After experimenting with numerous sales funnel builders myself, they all pretty much work the same way. But some just have better ease-of-use, features and functionality than others, in my opinion.
Here are the basic steps you need for getting your new funnel up and running.
#1: Your very first step is to choose which type of funnel you wanna build.
#2: Select the type of template that fits well with your type of Biz model.
#3: Then it’s just a case of choosing the pages that make up the funnel.
NOTE: the 3 screenshots above are from inside the 10 Minute Funnels software.
#4: Once the foundation’s laid, it’s time to edit and customize your funnel – adding text, choosing font styles and sizing, adding imagery and videos, integrating an autoresponder, adding tracking code and social sharing buttons, etc.
When you’re happy as Larry with the funnel and know it works, it’s time to publish using a sub-domain provided by the software or a more personal domain to build your brand.
But where’s the best place to get everything you need for constructing a funnel from scratch and marketing your products to potential buyers?…
However, that’s only half the battle…
How to Make Your Funnel “Profitable”…
Unfortunately, some internet marketers and traditional business owners try building funnels using the “hope and pray” method which falls flat on its face!
And so these folks quit the funnel-creation process altogether.
Because there’s just throwing together a funnel with high hopes of it being profitable VS. actually knowing HOW to build a “PROFITABLE” funnel.
It’s crucial to understand the difference.
But it’s where some folks go wrong and end up branding the sales funnel approach as a scam (which it isn’t IF you obviously do it right from the offset).
So instead of me waffling on about a GAZILLION ways to create an effective funnel, I’m about to share my top recommended training resources from the funnel Ninja Grandmaster himself – Russell Brunson.

Let’s Wrap it up…
Besides building a blog, creating a sales funnel is now one of THE hottest methods for building an uber-successful Biz, whether you have an online or offline one.
I must admit, when you first come across the concept of funnels, it seems a little daunting because it takes a short while to figure out. Well, it did for me, anyway. Even as a blogger and affiliate marketer lol.
But once you get to firm grips with it, you can see the true power behind it for skyrocketing your profits on the internet.
OK, you might not see a profit right away because your success also depends on knowing how to send quality targeted traffic to your funnel.
But if you grab at least one of my product recommendations above for building a “profitable” funnel, you’re definitely gonna be way ahead of your competitors’ – the ones who DON’T know how to create profit-producing funnels and especially the ones who are still rolling with “traditional” websites.
So if you wanna start off on the right foot…
Your Friend, Neil 😀
